Subsections
Here you can find my original material, in "track" format, as it originally appeared on cds that I released.
Mixes, and Live performances, which are longer beat matched sets, usually about an hour long.
And, my audio programming tools that I have described, and provided source for. Yes, you can modify and run these yourself.

History
I have been working with electronic musical instruments since I was 12 years old. Nearly 20 years of practice, experimentation, and live performances has given me the opportunity to interface with many different devices and create strange and interesting waveforms.

In 1988 I joined forces with Brian Natonski, now known as Gearwhore on Astralwerks records, to form an industrial band called Wretched Excess. We performed many live shows, with both sequenced, and improvised industrial sounds. We focused heavily on stage performance, gas masks, fake blood, glowing contacts, plastic fog filled hoses, etc... One performance at the China Club in Chicago illustrates the intensity of these shows. The (real) machete that Brian was swinging around was so covered in fake blood that it slipped out of his hand and flew into the audience. Luckily it was not very sharp and nobody was hurt.

I purchased four of the original roboscan (1004) and a controller to use with our shows, usually mounted inside 55 gallon drums, with holes cut out. This purchase led me to a Chicago promoter known as "Peter John". I quickly became his source for intelligent lighting, and we produced many events in Chicago, none more famous than the "illusions" series. With this introduction to the rave scene, I grew very attached to it's musical and energetic power. I attended and assisted with production of many Chicago and surrounding events. I also began to dj records in order to get more involved with the rave scene on a musical level.

The Wretched Excess project mutated a few times, and faded away when Brian relocated to LA, and I moved fo SF. We remained friends, and still collaborated on material. We both released tracks on the "Fatal Data" CD, which featured California electronic musicians. It was at this time that I adopted the name "immersiveArts" to encompass more dance oriented styles.

Around this time CDR technology was available, and Pioneer developed the CDJ series cd turntables This was a major turning point for my performances. I was now able to record a set of cds with my music, and play them beat matched for an audience. I was accepting bookings all over the bay area, and creating portions of custom material for each one.

After living in the bay area for around 4 years, I moved to Boulder Colordo, to get a taste of another part of the country. I continued to perform there, as well as produce robotic light shows, and got involved with many event promoters there. My music changed while sharing rehearsal/recording space in a building with Deadly Buda Link, and RadioValve. This was the first time I had a place designated for making music. Hearing the hardcore sounds of Deadly Buda, pounding at all hours of the day encouraged me to make my material harder, and faster.

The bay area was calling back to me, and I moved back there after 4 years in Colorado. I began to get very experimental with my music, and fusing it with my newfound programming knowledge. New sounds, and new ways of making sounds led to new compositions.

Currently, I am working on a duo project called Time Slips By, and my own solo material, and custom exclusive material for DJs.
